How To Download From Megaupload
The Total Beginner's Guide!
Ok, to start off I want to get you familiar with "Megaupload" and exactly how to "Download" from there.
It's just a few easy steps:
STEP 1: Get Your "Megaupload Download Links".
Where do you get them you ask?
Well search "Katz Forums" for them or other forums. For example: Look in movies and click on a movie you would like to have, then check for a "code: box" like this one below in the description of the movie.
There will be links that say something like this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DXQQQSJW If you do not find any "Megaupload" links keep searching the forums, you'll find them soon enough.
Also you can get "Download Links" by using "Search Engines" ( type in the movie, game, or whatever your looking for, followed by Megaupload,) for example: "Spider man Megaupload" then click search.
You'll eventually find some "Forum or Website" with "Megaupload Download Links" for what you're looking for.
STEP2 Copy & Paste Download Links
If you all ready know how to do this skip ahead to: Take Your Megaupload Download Link,
Now that you have your "Megaupload Download Links", it's time to "Copy And Paste Them". If you do not know how to do this I will explain.
1. How To Copy & Paste
First go to the download link and right before the http:// left click on your mouse and hold it down, drag the mouse to the end of the link so it's all highlighted and let go of your left click button, then tap the left click once. Now your download link should be highlighted even when moving your mouse around. Now right click with your mouse on the highlighted download link, a pop up box will show up, now click on copy. Now you have the download link ready to go.
Now on your browser, look to the upper left hand corner of it. There will be several clickable links, I want you to click on file, a new pop up window will open up, click on New Tab. In your browser a new tab will be present it will say (untitled). click on it and you will now have a blank page.
Now go to your "Navigation Toolbar" ( this is where you type in website URLs you want to visit) go to the blank space in there, and right click on your mouse, a new pop up window will show up, highlight paste and left click on it. Now your Megaupload download link will show up in the box, click enter on your keyboard and it will bring you to the Megaupload download page.

2. Take Your Megaupload Download Link,
"Open or Paste" it in the browsers url address bar, then click on "Enter", it'll come up like this below.

Now type in the 4 letter code and click "Download" next to it
STEP3 Wait Through Timer
Wait the 45 seconds (25 seconds if you register for free and login) or you could just purchase a premium account and you won't have to wait anymore.

STEP4 Download
Wait until the timer runs all the way down and on the same page where the countdown was you'll see "Regular Download" click on it, a new pop up window will show up, make sure "Save To Disk" is checked and click "OK". Now just save the file where you want and your done!

NOTES: If you have multiple download links, then follow the steps above and make sure to save all files in the same folder
After you get all your files in the same folder, you will need certain "Software Applications" to combine all the files to one. Lets say you have a bunch of .rar files, you will need an application called " WinRar " to extract the files to one (just do a search for Winrar or look here at Katz to get the application) also you can download "WinRar" (This is a Full Version, no serial needed) here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WY9C7NGH .
After you have it, open it up and look for your folder with the files you downloaded. Click on the part1 file to highlight it and then click on extract. Save the file where you want and wait for it to complete it's task. Now go to that newly created folder and click on it, in there you will find the full movie or whatever it is in there, double click on it or open it up in a media player, emulator or whatever you need to use and there you go.
Also, you may have gotten a bunch of "avi.001 avi.002 ect..." files or "avi.__a avi.__b ect..."files. You will need a different application to join these type of files. What you will need is "hjsplit" for avi.001 files and you'll need "FFSJ" for avi.__a files. There is also .7z files you may come across as well. You'll need 7zip to extract the files. A simple google search and you will find this free application. This will also open rar files and .001 files as well. A very nice tool to have.
Free users can only download one file at a time. You have to wait till your first file is done downloading before you can download the next file.
Free users only can download a certain amount of files in a given time, per day with the same "IP Address". I counted around 5-7 file downloads before I got the "IP limit exceeded" warning. After that a page will pop up saying you have a certain amount of time to wait before you can download again. There is ways around this and I will share those with you below. You'll have to wait 45 seconds before you can download a file.
If you "Register" to "Megaupload", which I suggest you do (it takes a little bit of your time) not only do you get to download more files in a given time, per day with the same "IP Address", but you also get to "Take Advantage" of the "Megaupload Happy Hours" which is great. I counted 13 file downloads before I got the "IP Limit Exceeded" Warning. Again, there is ways around this. You'll only have to wait 25 seconds, to be able to download a file.
NOTE: The above mentioned file downloads before IP Limit Exceeded is just a reference. It may be more it may be less.
How to Upload To Megaupload
For Beginners
Open up "Firefox" browser, Go to http://www.megaupload.com , Now click on the "Browse" tab and find the file you want to "Upload" from your computer. Now enter a file description in the box below. Now right next to that click "Send" and Now you will have to wait for your upload to start (this may take a while, depending on your file size it may take quite a while),
There will be a upload progress bar to let you know how much longer it will take to upload.
Now wait for your file to finish downloading, you will know it's done because It will say "upload complete". Now look underneath and there will be your "Download Link". "Copy" and "Paste" it into your "Notepad" or "Word pad" and make sure to write a "Description" for it then save the file for future reference.
Now click on the link that "Megaupload" created for you to check to see if it works. Now go ahead and start posting that link to "Forums" "Web pages" or whatever. Thats it, Simple huh...

NOTE:
The larger a file is you try to upload, the longer it will take to finish.
You can upload a bit faster if you sign up to Megaupload as a free member. Sign up then Login, then repeat the steps above.
You can upload more stuff at a time by doing this: Go to megaupload.com and sign in to your account. Now go back to megauploads homepage and pic a file to upload, fill in all the information, agree and then click send.
Now, go to your browsers file menu(you can find this on the upper left of the browser), just click on it and look for "New Tab" and click on it. Now in that new blank tab go to megaupload.com and upload yet another file, then click send. Now you can upload 2 files at once and upload your files in half the time.
NOTE: I have tried doing 3-4 uploads at a time, but It always seams to make all the uploads stop. I suggest you only do 2 at a time.
Sometimes a large file your uploading may get cut off, even several times in a row, this can be a pain in the you know what. Well, what I have found out is when your file is uploading and you tend to use the same browser window to do whatever it is you do online, it tends to stop the uploading process more often.
So what you should do is do the 2 uploading files at once technique above and then go to your file menu and click on new window. Now use that window for browsing online and leave the other window with the files uploading alone. When I've done this I've never had a interupted upload.
You can do multiple uploads through megauploads tool through their main site. It's on the left of the page, but only one file will upload at a time.
Also after you get a free membership you can setup your account so you can earn "Rewards". To sign up to the "Rewards" go to "Megaupload" and sign in. After you are signed in, look to the upper left side of the website. You should see a button named "Rewards" click on it, this will open a new page, look for a link and click on it, agree to the terms and type in your initials then click the button. There you go all set up great! Now For every download of your files you earn 1 reward point. For a complete list of "Rewards" visit http://www.megaupload.com/rewards/
