Yep, same. Haven't had a re-directing ad since i last scanned for spyware, so that's most likely the problem.

Hopefully our advertiser pin-pointed the malicious ad(s) and got rid of them. :)

The only ads in this site is the adds you get from others, when they add you to their buddies 8)

Here are the adds that are coming up on this site and my box is clean. The adds go away, they are not redirecting adds.

No, I just got ads redirecting me to http://www.perfspot.com
I am 100% adware/spyware clean...maybe an include/iframe has been injected to the vbulletin code ?
3.6.8 is the final of the 3.6.x releases but I think 3.7.x will be more secure.

Cøbra

There is no "injection" of any sort, sheesh, relax!
On rare occasions, the advert located in the footer displays rogue ads which cause the webpage to redirect. Tracking which ad caused this is extremely hard and all we can do is hope that our advertiser identifies such ads and removes them.
If you experience this, simply hit the "Back" button on your browser to return to the webpage you were on; your webpage shouldn't redirect again.

Here you go Cobra have been out of town and just seen this. I don't think some are understanding as to what is going on.
1. I am not being redirecting by the adds, ever. They just pop up at the bottom of the page/my screen. All I have to do to get them to go away is left click on any part of the site page and the add goes away.
2. I have no spyware and I am clean............
3. I can not buy that IE is the cause of this.

MozillaFox

First download Lovely FireFox from here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Then add Adblock Plus to FireFox. Visit https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 and click Add to Firefox
Now you can get rid of all the annoying Ads....:)):)):))
See how nice it is...

I am currently getting the ads - they can still persist even if you use the back button and am trying to see a loaded forum page. A real pain in the arse.
for this site for "flirting students" apparently....:

I've been getting this myself. I've approached our ad serving company with all the evidence in regards to this. They had no idea this was happening. I will be getting rid of the advert until I receive confirmation that it has been dealt with.
Thanks.

I'm glad to see everything's already taken care of
just for the sake of the overkill-
Whoever wishes to personally get rid of ads should get AdBlockPlus & the Element Hiding Helper

I have seen not a single ad, ever.
No spyware on my pc either.
I use Google Chrome.
Maybe one of the sites you guys visited planted a spider bot.
Cøbra
12-13-2008, 03:34 AM
LOL. I hate when people talk outta their ass. No such "spider bots" and "injections".
It's simply a redirecting, frame-breaking advert. If you were a web developer (who had a clue about JavaScript), you'd understand what's happening. ;)
str8jktmn
12-13-2008, 03:40 AM
I'm not a web developer, so I don't know what's happening.
I would also never reply to someone is such an unkind way.
I have worked my butt off here to help people, and have built a good reputation here.
To be spoken to as if I were nothing is not necessary.
ummm many people are faing this proble so why dont u guys install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
ABP[Ad Block Plus] it also increases ur page loading speed as it wont load and useless Advertisment :D

Just out of curiosity, were they ads from Mediashakers?
no it was a dating site flirting students
Cøbra
12-13-2008, 02:02 PM
To be spoken to as if I were nothing...So I could have reworded it, which would have made it sound subtle, which in turn would probably not have brought the message across. We're all friends here after all..? Point is, being someone who has the know-how, it's annoying when people who haven't a clue, use random and incorrect terminology. It does more harm than good to use all. Nevertheless, apologies for the offense I appear to have caused.

No, I mean the website company that delivered the ads, were they Media Shakers? I've had the same reports from someone who has also been redirected from my forum to flirtingstudents and fling and I was using MS
Cøbra
12-13-2008, 05:26 PM
I tried MediaShakers and DSNR, and both were affected. I'm sure every other company using Right Media were affected (and still are?) by it (CPX, etc.).
