Minimum computer requirements
Digital Performer 5.13 requires a G4/500MHz Power M
with 512MB RAM running Mac OS X 10.4.6 (Tiger) or
higher. A 17-inch monitor (or larger) is recommended.

Computer Recommendations
The minimum recommended system for Digital Performer is
a dual-processor G4 Power Mac or any Intel Mac. 1GB of
RAM or more is also recommended. The faster the Mac, and
the more RAM installed in it, the more responsive Digital
Performer is. Scrolling during playback is smoother, the
counter updates regularly, and actions that you take with the
program are faster - especially during playback.

UNIVERSAL BINARY
This version of Digital Performer is fully compatible with
Intel based Mac systems and PowerPC-based G4 and G5 Mac
computers.

DAE SUPPORT ON INTEL MACS
As of this release, Pro Tools is not yet qualified by Digidesign
for Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5). DP 5.13 supports DAE
operation on Intel-based Mac Pro systems running Mac OS
10.4.7 or later and Pro Tools version 7.1cs9 or later. MOTU
has tested and qualified up to Pro Tools version 7.3.1cs5 on
both PowerPC and Intel based Apple Desktop Systems. As
new versions of DAE become available, check motu.com for
compatibility information.

!! Instructions External HDD Method !!
Tested and Works

On your external USB or Firewire HDD, create a 10GB Mac OS X Extended partition, format this partition and leave it blank. You will need this later on.
Download all 71 parts from RapidShare
Join with Ajoiner to get a single .DMG file
Mount the .DMG file
Using Disk Utility, Select the RESTORE Tab
Right Click on the "Mac OS X Install DVD" and select it as the SOURCE
Right Click on your USB/Firewire 10GB Partition and select it as DESTINAION
Check off "Erase Destination"
Click Restore
Wait for Restore to complete
Once restore is complete, you will notice that your 10GB Partition name is called "Mac OS X Install DVD"
Unmount the Disk Image
LEAVE THE USB/FIREWIRE DRIVE CONNECTED
Restart your Mac and hold the Option Key to get the startup disk menu
Select the External HDD, Labelled "Mac OS X Install DVD"
Booting from the External HDD works and it's fast!! Anytime you want to install Snow Leopard on any Intel Mac Computer, all you need to do is bring your External Drive, connect it, reboot and install.

!! Instructions DVD Method !!
Untested. Not sure if this works as I use the External HDD Method

Download all 71 parts from RapidShare
Join with Ajoiner to get a single .DMG file
Mount the .DMG file using Disk Utility
Using Disk Utility, create a new dual layer (8.5GB) sparse image called snowleopard (actual filename will be snowleopard.sparseimage)
Mount this new sparse image file
Restore the SnowLeopard Install DVD you downloaded from RapidShare to the newly created mounted snowleopard.sparseimage (not the image file.)
Open the mounted snowleopard.sparseimage with Finder, and delete the XCodeTools directory.
Unmount the mounted snowleopard.sparseimage.
Using the Disk Utility, create a new single layer (4.4GB) spare image called snowleopardboot (actual filename will be snowleopardboot.sparseimage) and mount it.
Restore the snowleopard.sparseimage image file to the mounted snowleopardboot.sparseimage (not the image file.)
Unmount the mounted snowleopardboot.sparseimage.
Burn the snowleopardboot.sparseimage to your single layer DVD media.
Booting from this DVD works, but takes a very long time.

Most Macs have front row, but if you have a Mac that did not come with it built-in, there is no way to buy it or even download it. But now there is a way to get it!

People figured out how to export it off of a Mac, and now you can use it on any Mac, even if it didn't come with it.

This Front Row.app has been cracked to skip the remote check and should idle in the background once loaded. If you do not have a remote, simply press Apple+Esc to bring it up and use the arrows to navigate.

Note:
You can use a wii remote in conjuction with Darwiin as an Apple remote! Works beautifully through blue-tooth.

Procedure To Install Update

Right click 'Install PhotoFrame Pro 3.1.1 Update.pkg' and choose 'Show Package Contents'
- Open Contents
- Find 'Archive.pax.gz' and copy it to another location on the hard drive
- Expand this archive file as well as others that appear after expansion

You'll be left with a 'Photoframe Pro 3.1.1' folder, inside will be the plugin folder. Just move/copy it to the Photoshop CS3 plugins folder.

ZDNet Clock is easy to install. After downloading, you simply click on the ZDNet-Clock icon to start. Then the chipset and the clock chip are detected. The superuser password has to be entered at this point. The only computers currently supported are those equipped with Intel 5000 or Intel 5400 chipsets. That means all Mac-Pro and Xserve models with Intel processors. If the computer is not recognised the program closes with an error message.

The console can be used for diagnosing problems. It is to be found under "Applications – Utilities – Console". The ZDNet-Clock messages can be found in the "All Messages" window, see figure 3. When the chipset and clock chip have been detected the application appears as shown in figure 1 and figure 2.

The main control is the slider control, with which the frequency is set. The left-hand stop is always the standard frequency of the clock chip. "Underclocking" cannot be achieved with the GUI. Three frequencies are displayed above the slider control. "Bus Clock" displays the frequency that is actually generated by the clock chip. The front-side bus is also clocked with this frequency. As current FSBs are four times as wide as the original Intel FSB, Intel always indicates the quadruple frequency. ZDNet Clock calls this frequency the "Marketing Clock".

If you move the slider control completely to the left, 1333 MHz or 1600 MHz should be displayed there, depending on the model. The "CPU Clock" value should show the standard frequency of the CPU. To raise the frequency you slide the control to the right. You should not overdo it when overclocking for the first time. A good first move is to increase the "CPU Clock" by 10 MHz.

If you push the slider all the way to the right, to the maximum frequency, and click on the "Apply" button, the computer will certainly crash. The optimum CPU frequency with which stable operation is possible has to be worked out individually for each computer.

Increasing the front-side bus frequency raises the clock speed of the CPU without having to change the multiplier. The frequency of the Northbridge (MCH) is raised at the same time. So the memory is always overclocked as well. In the case of the Mac Pro, the CPU will normally tolerate higher overclocking than the MCH. As the Mac Pro uses fully buffered DDR2 memory modules (FB-DIMMs), which have error checking and correction (ECC), it is easily possible to feel your way up to the maximum stable overclocking frequency.

The console is used for that purpose. The "All Messages" window contains not only the messages from ZDNet Clock but also entries relating to corrected memory errors. Immediately after changing the frequency, entries relating to corrected errors will mainly appear, that are designated as a "correctable fbd error" or as "recoverable parity errors". They are caused by the switching of the frequency. The CPU and MCH briefly encounter synchronisation problems. This is normal, and there is no need to worry about it.

If further memory errors appear in the console after successful overclocking, this is an indication that you have exceeded a stable threshold with the overclocking. It makes sense to carry out a test after switching clock speed. Longer running benchmarks can be considered in this context, such as the prime number search program mprime. If no errors occur for several hours, you can assume secure operation.

In order to keep the effect of memory errors resulting from frequency switching to a minimum, ZDNet Clock overclocks the computer in steps of 1MHz (FSB). Tests have shown that an increase in the FSB by a large amount and the associated increase in the CPU frequency, for example raising the CPU clock speed from 2800 MHz to 3200 MHz, often puts the RAM modules so seriously out of synchronisation that more bits 'topple' than error correction can pick up. This leads to a controlled crash. The memory modules report the error via NMI, the kernel acknowledges it with panic, see figure 4.

The result of step-by-step switching is that it takes some time for confirmation to appear after clicking on the Apply button. If you prefer direct switching, this can be selected by ticking the "Use Rapid Overclocking" checkbox.

Whether the switching can be successfully carried out depends very much on the RAM modules used. The first-generation tester (Mac Pro 1.1) is equipped by Apple with modules from Positivo Informática. In this case overclocking only works in very slow steps. The 2008 model (Mac Pro 3.1) comes with preinstalled Hynix modules. In this case, switching also works with "Rapid Overclocking" turned on.

ZDNet has also tested modules that do not come from Apple. Tests with modules from CSX equipped with memory chips from Elpida are disappointing. They run the Mac Pro clocked at 2800 MHz at a maximum of 2835 MHz. On the other hand, marginally more expensive proprietary modules from Kingston and Transcend (TS2GAPMACP8U-T) display no problems.

Sticky Windows is an application for Mac OS X Tiger which extends the tab browsing experience to the Desktop. Sticky Windows shrinks your windows into tabs when you drag a window towards the edge of your screen, providing you with a completely clutter-free workspace. By clicking on the tab the user can show and hide the window.

The tab can be created by dragging a window to any edge of the screen (Sticky Windows also supports multiple screens). When the mouse reaches the margin of the screen a tab will appear.

To remove a tab, simply drag it away from the screen edge. If the window is not currently visible when the tab is dismissed, the original window is re-displayed on the screen.

How does it work?
Sticky Windows keeps track of all the windows which are visualized on the Desktop, as soon as the user drag a window, and the mouse reaches the edge of the screen, Sticky Windows shows a tab corresponding to that window. Afterwards Sticky Windows "takes care" of the window and communicates to the Windows Server to show and hide it.

Is Sticky Windows CPU heavy application?
Sticky Windows has been designed to be light in CPU usage. You will seldom see it using more than 1% of your CPU. This is particular important for Powerbook/MacBook users that will be able to use it without worrying that it will drain their batteries.

Thanks for sharing, I've downloaded the new Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" and tested it for 2 days. In the end I've switch back to Mac OS X 10.5.4 "Leopard". The current version in my opinion is not stable yet, there are many bugs that needed to be fix, total of 3 system crashes, Safari was not any faster and unstable, Firefox also had glitches, airport tend to lose connection at times, overall system improvement seems about the same as Leopard with stability issues. My experience with Snow Leopard was a disappointment, I'm hoping that the official release of Snow Leopard in 2009 would be better than what I've just experience. The good side was that it only took approximately 12 min to install the new OS X.

Everybody loves the drag and drop nature of OS X. Drag an app into your applications folder, and it's installed. You'd think it would be that easy to delete an app — just a matter of dragging it to the trash. But it's not. Applications install preferences, caches, and other support files throughout your computer that take up space and generate clutter. Deleting these by hand every time you delete an app is a pain.

- 10.5.4 main system of v4i including modbin 9.4.0 kernel is compatible for darwin x86 non-efi mbr systems by default. Users can select stock packages for efi systems.

- Like the v2i, v4i also includes netkas pc-efi 8, supports GPT (Guid Partition Table) and MBR (Master Boot Record).

- Some system bugs of v2i including some link errors are fixed.

- Improved sata support. I had no chance to test it so you will do it

- Includes speedstep support for compatible cpu's like the older versions of the team. Speedstepping package includes 9.2.0 speedstep kernel.

- 2.64 GB dvd size.

I am running it for a while, tried many apps without any issues. Sleeps and wakes up well on both lappy and desktop (with right package selections of course), stepping is also nice on my lappy. We'll see the results.

Attention:

1- This DVD is designed for Intel architectures.
Minimum requirements: Intel SSE3 CPU, 512MB RAM, 12GB free space on target partition.

2- This DVD includes Apple's OS X Leopard 10.5.4 (9E17) installation.

3- Make sure that the md5 checksum of your iATKOS iso image matches the one posted on our website. Otherwise you may have a faulty DVD image. Use quality media/burner and burn slowly.

Information:

- This release supports GPT (Guid Partition Table) partition map scheme. You can change your partition table type to GPT via Disk Utility or some other partition managers. We advice Parted Magic Live CD which is based on GParted.

- This release also includes Darwin EFI emulation boot for MBR (Master Boot Record) harddrives. Intel Core CPUs can use stock kernel and stock ACPIPlatform with EFI emulation on MBR and with GPT. This increases stability and performance.

- Intel CoreDuo Processors have appropriate SpeedStep Technology which is stable in OS X. If you have such processor, you can enable throttling feature using the "SpeedStep" package which you can find under system drivers section. Don't select any of the kernels with speedstep support if you don't want to have kernel panic.

- There are some boot options for some various hardware. Boot DVD, press F8 and enter:
nforce -v
for nForce motherboards with intel SSE3 CPU
nforce_core -v
for nForce motherboards with Intel Core CPU
toh -v
for booting with ToH 9.2.0 kernel which works nice on many types of hardware

Installation:

1- Run Disk Utility via Utilities menu and erase the target partition for clean install. Do partitioning if you need to.

a- You can choose MBR (Master Boot Record) or GPT (Guid Partition Table) via partitioning options. If you want to change your existing partition table type, know that all your existing data on disk will be gone.
b- For Windows fellows that has not tested this amazing system yet and that does not want to loose their windows software, porn and virus&trojan archive on D:\, should use Parted Magic Live CD for preparing an active primary target partition and after that, just erase it via diskutil. Jump to Step 2.

2- Select the destination for installation.

3- Click customize and select what you need.

4- Click Install.

Install time is about 20 minutes.

Multiboot:

iATKOS 4i has no integrated procedure for multibooting but preparing a multiboot GPT or MBR system with this release is easier than ever.

Here is a ''How To'' for GPT and MBR triple boot including Mac-Vista-Linux.

- MBR (Master Boot Record) triple boot -

- Change your partition table type to MBR (msdos type) and create 3 primary partitions by using Parted Magic Live CD or iATKOS Disk Utility. HFS+ format for OS X target, Fat32 for the others.
Note: %99.99999 of the PC harddrives already have MBR partition map scheme (msdos type) which you can change it to GPT via Parted Magic CD or iATKOS Disk Utility if you like to.

- Add boot flag to Vista or Linux target and install the OS' in any order you like. For linux, do not install bootloader to MBR, install it to linux root.

- Boot iATKOS 4i DVD and install OS X to its target as usual.

- Now you need to repair Vista. Add boot flag to Vista partition, boot Vista DVD, select repair, add boot flag to OS X partition, thats all.

Now you have triple boot on MBR.

Note: Adding boot flag to MBR partitions: Boot Parted Magic Live CD, right click to partition, select flags and click to boot.

- GPT (Guid Partition Table) triple boot -

- Change your partition table type to GPT (Guid Partition Table) and create 3 partitions by using Parted Magic Live CD or iATKOS Disk Utility. HFS+ format for OS X target, Fat32 (msdos) for the others.

- Boot iATKOS 4i DVD, install only bootloader to OS X target. ***

- Boot Vista DVD and install it to first Fat32 partition.
(Note: System marks first Fat32 partition for booting Foreign OS'. If you choose other than first Fat32 as target for Vista, then during installation, system will not continue install process at first Vista boot.)

- Boot Linux media and install the OS. Install the bootloader to linux root.
(Note: Some live linux cd stuff (knoppix, kanotix, parsix, etc.) has built-in installer applications and they use gparted for partitioning and formatting targets. At this point, formatting target to linux fs via Gparted is not a good choice, use unix fdisk just for changing the target partition type from ''c0'' to ''83'' which is linux partition type and then continue installation.)

- Boot iATKOS 4i DVD and install OS X as usual.

Now you have triple boot on GPT, thats all.

As you see, preparing multiboot system on GPT is more practical and easier.
Darwin on GPT will see other OS' as Foreign Boot.

*** For pro-users: You can re-install Darwin bootloader by booting the iATKOS DVD with -s. Boot with -s and enter darwin command, follow the instructions. For MBR HD, you can add boot flag via fdisk after darwin installation.

Known Issues:

1- Jmicron IDE controllers are known to have issues with OS X.

2- Some 965 chipset MSI and ASUS motherboards (desktop and laptop) have issues with this OS. ACPI errors while booting with DVD and also with hd. There will be patches for those uncompatible devices and there is also a patch for 1.0ir2.

3- This dvd may not include all the necessary drivers required by your setup. Additional steps may be needed to be taken by the user to setup and use such components.

4- Be sure that the labels of your hfs+ partitions are not similar. ie. Mac 1, MacOS or Leopard X, Leopard Y. Installer may fail to determine the target partition to install the system if the labels match.

Unsuccessful Installation and Related Symptoms:

1- I get the error "com.apple.Boot.plist is not found" while booting the DVD

--> You are probably trying to boot from an unsupported controller.
~ You should use usb dvd rom drive, or you may need sata-ide convertor for your dvd rom drive (jmicron).

2- System freezes at grey screen by booting the DVD.

--> You probably have an unsupported chipset.
*965 chipset ASUS or MSI motherboard/laptop
*many VIA, SIS, ATI chipset motherboards
~ Change your hardware
~ A patch can be possible for 965 ASUS/MSI hardware, so keep on watching this community.

The modern incarnation of AppleWorks started life as ClarisWorks, written by Bob Hearn and Scott Holdaway and published by Claris (a spin-off from Apple, today known as File Maker Inc). ClarisWorks combined
A word processor,
A drawing program,
A painting program,
A spreadsheet,
A database program,
And a terminal program for communications.

All the components were integrated to provide a seamless suite that worked in concert; for example, spreadsheet frames could be embedded in a word processing document, or formatted text into drawings, etc. A common misconception is that the components were derived from the existing Claris programs MacWrite and MacDraw. The latest version, AppleWorks 6, replaced the communications feature with a presentation feature (in prior versions there was only rudimentary support for presentations through the other features). It was also Carbonized to work on Mac OS X, but it does not take advantage of many of the newer features of Mac OS X.

AppleWorks can create, open, and save files in a number of file formats. For example, word processor documents can be saved in Microsoft Word format, and spreadsheet files can be saved in Microsoft Excel format.

Tested and Works

On your external USB or Firewire HDD, create a 10GB Mac OS X Extended partition, format this partition and leave it blank. You will need this later on.
Download all 71 parts from RapidShare
Join with Ajoiner to get a single .DMG file
Mount the .DMG file
Using Disk Utility, Select the RESTORE Tab
Right Click on the "Mac OS X Install DVD" and select it as the SOURCE
Right Click on your USB/Firewire 10GB Partition and select it as DESTINAION
Check off "Erase Destination"
Click Restore
Wait for Restore to complete
Once restore is complete, you will notice that your 10GB Partition name is called "Mac OS X Install DVD"
Unmount the Disk Image
LEAVE THE USB/FIREWIRE DRIVE CONNECTED
Restart your Mac and hold the Option Key to get the startup disk menu
Select the External HDD, Labelled "Mac OS X Install DVD"
Booting from the External HDD works and it's fast!! Anytime you want to install Snow Leopard on any Intel Mac Computer, all you need to do is bring your External Drive, connect it, reboot and install.

!! Instructions DVD Method !!
Untested. Not sure if this works as I use the External HDD Method

Download all 71 parts from RapidShare
Join with Ajoiner to get a single .DMG file
Mount the .DMG file using Disk Utility
Using Disk Utility, create a new dual layer (8.5GB) sparse image called snowleopard (actual filename will be snowleopard.sparseimage)
Mount this new sparse image file
Restore the SnowLeopard Install DVD you downloaded from RapidShare to the newly created mounted snowleopard.sparseimage (not the image file.)
Open the mounted snowleopard.sparseimage with Finder, and delete the XCodeTools directory.
Unmount the mounted snowleopard.sparseimage.
Using the Disk Utility, create a new single layer (4.4GB) spare image called snowleopardboot (actual filename will be snowleopardboot.sparseimage) and mount it.
Restore the snowleopard.sparseimage image file to the mounted snowleopardboot.sparseimage (not the image file.)
Unmount the mounted snowleopardboot.sparseimage.
Burn the snowleopardboot.sparseimage to your single layer DVD media.
Booting from this DVD works, but takes a very long time.
