Jeff Easley (born 1954 in Nicholasville, Kentucky) is a fantasy artist. He studied at Murray State University, graduating in 1976. Early in his career he did work for Warren Publishing and Marvel Magazine Group. Easley met fellow Kentucky native and artist Larry Elmore through a mutual friend, through whom he learned of other possible employment opportunties at TSR.[1] Easley successfully applied and started working there in March 1982, and went on to do much of the front cover artwork for the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons hardbacks of the 1980s.
Some of his notable works include the cover art of the 1st edition incarnations of the Monster Manual II, Unearthed Arcana, and Oriental Adventures as well as the 2nd edition core books (the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and Monstrous Manual). He also provided the artwork for Italian power metal band Rhapsody of Fire's 2006 album Triumph or Agony.
