firefox+downloadthemall! + premium rapidshare account problems

hihi

using firefox 2.0.0.7 with downloadthemal! 1.0.3
and i do have a premium rapidshare account

can anyone tell me why...
sometime i can get average 40-45kb/s download speed...
but other times...just 4-5kb/s...

also most of the time i have to turn off my modem to change line
in 5-7 tries i can get the 40-45kb/s speed back...
and suddenly after 10-20 files...it goes down again
i will have to turn the modem off and back on....

also there are still 150G in the account...i don't think is that problem...

is there any software of stabilizer i can use ?
what am i doing wrong ?

really...then can u plz tell me how can i transfer my my files from downloadthemall! to IDM? i have 1200 files there....
