it didnt let me vote. I would put not because doing that for my forums brought 1523 registered users to my forums (elitesoftware)
and only these ppl posting

i got to say im very much against hide hack but i will put it for the vote.

i do belive that we would have to make it so that when someone registers that they will bot have acces to the downlaod section and only to the guest section untill they post 20 threads on the guest section.


also like i said this is hopefully gonna be temp cos i know from expreience that only 1 in 500 will be a postr from my old forum

people only seem to post if they have a intrest in the forum so i dont know how this is gonna work woth a foum with katz in the name but we will see

I don't agree with the guest forum. Its advertising the forum to the wronge people in a way, only leechers will use the guest section, it might bring alot of people, but this forum already has alot of stuff on it posted by the few members we have already, if somone wants to be a member and share they can sign up, its not that hard.

I agree with you there alex...

I do think that people should register though, if they want to access the site they will register anyway...

Better for the Forum to have a little exclusivity than be abused by people who don't need to register...

their is a way around this, in one year i will delete everyone who has been here for over 4 months and hasent posted over 10 things i will post a anoucment and mass pm about this a week before i do it to see who is active and not posting. :)

well i made a long post and it didn't go through so now here is the short version
the guest section isnt a bad idea. it will attract a lot of leechers but those who register because they saw the guest section will become more active members as those who have to register to see the board.
i post a thanx and not much else on a lot of my posts. i think a thanx goes a long ways considering how many people don't post anything at all
ie. i upped pjam to hhbb and got one thanx, the file was downloaded 16 times.

A limited guest section would be nice, like so many posts to see. Being a member is the best way if ppl don't want to spend 5 minutes to register than they are here just for what they can get. And that really is not acceptable in my opinion. i'm a brand new member today, but i will try my best to be a good one and a productive one. And I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone as a new friend.
