I wont mention whats aready been said.
A new skin and custom icons could help along with a new header, it has kind of a bland look right now.
It's a nice start for a new forum tho.

You definitely need to change your skin. Stock skins don't really make the 'authority' impression a 4-star site deserves. I know I am contradicting my own position here though, but I'm just saying what I think is right.

You should also consider switching to a forum. I know that'll be difficult, but it encourages what I like to call, 'the community effort' :)
