So what I've done is made a quick website where you can sign up in seconds. Once you are signed up you can add up to 3 links to 5mb(ish) files in your collectors account. Once you have added these links they will be added to the list and put at the very top.

Now, you can 'update' your links every 20 minutes. This means that your link will go straight back to the top of the list. But before you can finish updating your link you must click on 2 other links from the list first. This way In exchange for you giving two other people a point each your are putting your link back to the top of the list where people will have to click it in order to update their own links.

Basically it relies on everyone helping each other out, much like you would when you download a 'thank you' file from someone, only on a larger scale.

The site isn't 100% complete but the main bit is there which is the important thing. Just a few things like the help file and account settings need creating and it wouldn't be worth more of my time if nobody uses the site.

So the site is at the bottom of this post, feel free to ask questions and please give me some feedback about ways I could maybe improve the site or bug reports, or even just what you think and share the link to the site with others.

Though it looks an interesting concept..But how abt downloading ur own files via cryptload or something!

don't forget this is an experimental project, and if it works then great. the problem with cryptload is that people who have a static ip will get picked up by rs very quickly for multiple downloads of 1 file and therefore will probably remove the points from the account. also if someone changes their ip after every download, still rs will possibly pick up on an excessive download rate on one file from the same ip range.

what i am trying to do is have everyone (for a very limited amount of work) be honest and help everyone else out, and the larger the userbase grows the more points we could accumulate together. imagine if every single collector on rs used this free service i'm offering (without advertising i might add, although bandwidth is limited) then we could all generate a massive amount of points each daily with rapidshare and we would each only have to do a very small amount of work.

like i said, this is an experiment, it could work, and if it does then no doubt there would eventually be clones of the site but that's fine, as long as the concept continues and rapidshare don't cotton on too quick and bring back the image verification.

Just to add, I might reduce the amount of links you have to click to update your own from 2 to 1 for those with static ip's that have to wait 15 minutes before the next download (or they just don't bother downloading and cheat the rest of us by only clicking the links).

oh yes and, might add comments to each link and the link owners username. just so people can let each other know they did actually dl the file. that way the person who received the comment is more likely to click the other persons link if they see it in the list.
