Hi, my site was blacklisted today, because of my site design.
http://appzdown***************
Violating Best Practices: http://www.katzforums.com/showthread.php?t=9905#post24719
But I haven't changed my site design since the start of my submissions.
I'm also not understand that
- there isn't banner or ad above the content on my site.
- there isn't any banner or ad that is "camouflaged" to blend in, as if to make them look like normal content or with the intention of getting false banner clicks, on my site.
I always, submit my downloads in the format of "Download Titles" in Best Practices.
I really don't understand why my site was blacklisted... Can someone clarify this situation and what's the problem of my site design?
I sent mail to Katz, but I wrote same things, I don't know what I have to do...

That not only applies for ads but also for any kind of banners. Cobra told us that there shouldn't be any small(forgot the size) banner on top your downloads.

What you can do is just add this thing after the content or replace it with a bigger image.

friend, it is dvd cloner's image in order to represent application like screenshot. (in red rectangle you drew) If you click it, you will enlarge the image It is not banner, not ads. If it is forbidden, all of the sites, submitting to katz, must be blacklisted...

You didn't read it properly :)
That not only applies for ads but also for any kind of banners.
I remember that when I joined Katz, Cobra told me that some px sized banners are not allowed above the download. I may be wrong because I don't remember it properly but it was something similar. I also suggested that you can include a bigger image or resize the image(square) and link it to an enlarged version. Sites like imageshack.us provide this feature ;):

Example:

If its not the banner then still the square image resize thing makes the posts look simpler. Wait till any of the Mods or the Admins read and reply this post :).
Have a nice day... :D

hmm, but there is another situation. blogger resize your uploaded images automaticaly. For ex, this dvdcloner image 770 * 299 px, but blogger resized it.
On the other hand, my first submissons that katz staff accepted my site to submit, have also this kind of banners. http://appzdown***************/2007/07/feeddemon-25010_19.html
I agree with you "Wait till any of the Mods or the Admins read and reply this post" Thanks for your replies ;)

Welcome :). The one on the link provided is ok because its length is a lil less as compared to the one in the 1st post. Actually Cobra defined the size not to be included. Btw your blog resizes a small image also to 770 * 299 px banner?
Yeah got it:
A site risks getting banned if advertising in the header is anything more than one 468x60 or 728x90 banner.
There's a good chance a site will get banned if it has a 336x280 / 300x250 / 250x250 / similar-sized banner above the content.
I guess this applies on all banners and thats why they've banned or that banner looks like an advert. and in a hurry they must have not noticed it and banned you straight away :-? *unsure*
