I dont know why CPU's having intel processors( P4 and there after) are producing loud noises when the processor is loaded. This isnt the case when it comes to AMD processor based CPU's. Im using a custom built CPU(Intel 2.66 HT Em64 bit), All my friends using intel processors are experiencing the same problem too.....What might be the reason for this?=)

AMD processors dont only ploduce less sound, but they deliver more than Intel processors. The clock cycles of the AMD processors are a lot different from that of Intel processors. It's a fact that AMD processors will deliver more when a multimedia content is loded to its core....its sad that i only have an Intel processor:(, but im happy with it:):). Its the sound that bugs me a lot than the performance....:(

I also like the fact that AMD (like Sony) is ahead in technology, they develop something and sell the rights to it to competitors, so they make money even while developing a new product...

Sony does this as well, whats a good example? who invented the digital camera? ;)

It's not even the fact that Sony products are so advanced, it's that they make everything and sell the rights to similar companies. Digital Cameras are some of the best examples, TV's are another good example... Everyone finally gets LCD prejection and what happens? Sony puts out a new Projection, thats much clearer LOL

I am running a Intel P4 Core 2 Duo 6400 and never had the problem you describe. Have you downloaded the latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturer for your Intel chip that would help it along. I had an AMD chip but got pissed off that they are all 64 bit and you can't make full use of the cpu unless you have a 64bit OS (as far as I know, if I'm wrong somebody plz tell me)
Hope this helps m8y. :)

Its not about the drivers here, its all about the architecture of those 2 processors. Intel processors are having some architectural imbalances now, but with AMD its hehe:)-u know what im trying to say, dont you?-;)....AMD 64 bit processors allow 32bit apps to be processed in its core (A higher ver of 'something' will always support their lower versions), you might have been using a 64 bit OS(say xp64 bit). Well in that case you have to install progs that supports 64 bit processing. And if you are using a 32bit OS, you can only install 32 bit supportive apps, 64 bit apps cant be loaded\installed on a 32 bit OS.....:)

I see what you are saying but still, Iv'e not had the problems you mention my machine runs that quick now compared to previous (AMD Athlon 64bit 2.2GHz) its stupid and thats with less memory (AMD had 1gb and P4 had 512mb, just bought some more so got 2gb now), It beats the crap out of my old AMD by miles and its as quiet as a mouse. I just might one of the lucky ones
