hi there .. today i've received an email form Evil Angel INC , that was saying that i'm offering for download some movies they made.I was asked to remove them from my server withing 7 day (I did that after i read the mail). Should i worry about this ? The site mentions that it doesn't store any of the files listed and that it's just indexing other site's contents. I'll wait for tour responses .. thanks

YOu don't have anything to worry about. Worst that will happen is your host will shut the site down, and/or contact you and ask you remove the problem.

Yeah I don't think they can actually have you charged with anything. Like you said nothing is actually stored on your site except for some links, so there isn't much you can do. Shit if it was a problem, what would happen to Katz.to? lol

I've had this problem before from the exact same company.
Just remove what they ask and they'll never contact you again.

Nothing to worry about ;)

Will not be worse, if you will add such text ;)

Really, they most likely frighten you, in the worst a case they will send abuse to your hosting and it will demand to remove this files

You have to be careful tho. Because many of these disclaimers are fake, and just "verbal judo". It looks good, so it must work, right? - Wrong! Disclaimers don't help, unless its drafted by a lawyer, which still won't protect you fully.

---
For controversial reasons, if you are affiliated with any government, ANTI-Piracy group or any other related group, or were formally a worker of one you CANNOT download any of these BitTorrent files. If you download these files you are not agreeing to these terms and you are violating code 431.322.12 of the Internet Privacy Act signed by Bill Clinton in 1995 and that means that you CANNOT threaten our ISP(s) or any person(s) or company storing these files, and cannot prosecute any person(s) affiliated with this page which includes family, friends or individuals who run or enter this web site.

The above, along with the rest of the garbage people use as a disclaimer is not even real. There is no such thing...

I've gotten contacted by M.icr0soft, and "Howard" the duck from P1rateReports in the past month. The way it usually works, is that they will contact your dc, then the dc will contact your provider and they will contact you. Well they sure did, in the M.icr0soft letter there was at least 50 listed links on my forum that they ordered to be removed and that my site shutdown. I just told them that its physically impossible for me to monitor the entire site as I am short staffed. I could care less what they do honestly, because the rich just get richer and the poorer get poorer. And as for howard, well hes nothing but a prick, contacts my dc all the time like their actually going to do something. If he contacts my dc one more time im going to start up a site like vbhacks or vbhackers and dominate the vbulletin hack scene, watch. But you honestly dont have anything to worry about. Were small fish in a big sea right now, that stupid digital millenium copyright act they signed was nothing but a piece of paper with a bunch of words.

P.S. You can put whatever you want on your site and it wont make a difference, you'll either get the raid/lawsuit or you wont. It's highly unlikely to happen, but no matter what you put up, they know you know exactly what it is that your doing.
