So, I live in Minnesota in the US and the senate just voted medical marijuana legal yesterday, 36-28. Fairly close vote, but still passed.
If you're interested...you could google it otherwise the link is herehttp://minnesotaindependent.com/33703/medical-marijuana-legislation-passes-minnesota-senate

What are your ideas on legalizing medical marijuana, if it's not already legal in your country? Or maybe it should be made illegal in your country?

Idk, just talk :)

If it gives the sick or dieing any bit of comfort then i think it should be used.
On the legal or ilegal side for personal use i have no preference but there are worse things on the legal market than Marijuana.

Its a plant, the government should not be able to control what you grow or digest, so much for free will aye

It is not legal in the UK, in-fact they have just put it up to Class B, from C.

Meaning you can get a longer prison sentence if caught with MJ than you can if caught with a knife, Nu labour have definitely thought that through <_<

I think for it to be legal in this country we need to get rid of simple minded folk who would do anything for a vote i.e lie about the danger of cannabis to seem tough on drugs as a whole,

There will be a day when it is legal, or at least decriminalized for people to grow, whether for medicinal purposes or recreational, I just cant see that day coming under our current government/leaders, they wont take responsibility for their own mistakes, so I cant see them willing to risk a further loss of support.

Things should start to look up on 6th May 2010, maybe anyway.

Yes, I think a lot of people are just to used to the idea that "Drugs are bad." It's what everyone tells us (teachers, news, law enforcement) but the fact is...not all drugs are. Sure marijuana is a gateway drug, but if it didn't exist does that mean not as many people would do more severe drugs (the actual harmful ones) such as cocaine and heroine? On the contrary, I believe that if marijuana was legalized the number of people that start with marijuana and move onto drugs such as cocaine would be less, because there would be less exposure to the other illegal drugs.
People just need to look or possibly try something before they decide to criticize it or call it bad. Everything, or at least almost everything, will have some negative consequence. If alcohol is legal almost everywhere, why not weed? If you compare the two, they are about the same, alcohol maybe even being a bit worse.
