How to do this ?

I hid some of my icons on the desktop, and they dissapeared......i had thought that i could click on "see hidden files and folders" field, in the "folder options" , but no window shows the "FOLDER OPTIONs" under the tools menu. Is there any other way to make you hiden icons go un-hidden ...... i dont think dos will help, 'cuz i dont know the names of the files on my desktop.....

please help !

P.S. I did not use any software to hide the icons.....

man this problem was getting on me like anything, but finally.....I got a way out of this.I was just exploring the windows registry trying out some stuff, when i saw this "NoFolderOptions" field set to '1'.
When i deleted it the problem was rectified.You will find this field in the infected computer at the following registry address: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]

set the DWORD "NoFolderOptions" to 0 or just delete it....and there you go the problem is GONE!!!!.
