DOCman is an open source document and/or download system for Joomla! 1.0.x and 1.5.x. DOCman is a Joomla native component that allows quick and easy distribution of files supporting an array of features making it a very powerful and flexible component.
A small list of features include but not limited too:
Frontend & Backend uploading
Permission based
Limit uploads by file extension
Neat upload progress bar
Configurable upload size
Upload from your PC/Transfer files from another server/"hot link" to other files
