When it was just rapidshare not Megathis Megathat Megathere hotfile depositfile and all these other stupid sites? I have had a membership to ALL of the above sites and they STILL cap speed. When I downloaded from them with a premium account i got 800 kb/sec from rapidshare I get 1.4 MB/sec. So what happened to when EVERYTHING was rapidshare? Those were the good times no seeing a thread you really wanna download then see "http://Megash*t.com/2ih4ih". I miss them who else does?

im with you there are some sh*t file host now these cash links are ruining the scene i my self would like all sites to ban these links and keep with rapidshare and worst if you have to download as a free user its terrable rapidshare all the way katz cd could change this by banning they links every site would follow suite

or if people are gonna keep posting other sites admin's should add that prefix thing to choose what filehost is being used so the thread title will say like "[RS]The Hangover 2009 Cam" and then people that use other file hosts can watch as thier views stay below 20 and the RS links go above 100 then maybe they will clue in "Oh rapidshare is getting all the points maybe I should quit bein stupid and start using it."

I agree with Cailer, rapidshare is the best and these stupid host sites SUCK. I have a membership to rapidshare and I never can seem to find anything with it anymore. =\

I love Megashit.com :D

I agree but these sites have started a dangerous trend of paying people too upload and nobody can resist money.

Nothing is for free. Even when it has genuine intentions. The data which moves around the web is cursed and desired in equal measure. The ISP's dislike the fact that other people benefit from the traffic coming to and from their servers. Then there are the parasites who would like the downloader to pay for the privilege. This could to a degree apply to rapidshare but so far at least they still offer a free if limited service to non premium users. I think we are all aware of how reliant on RS we are. With the continuing squeeze on P2P
it is an unhealthy situation.

Rapidshare was great, really only file sharing site around had a member ship back in the day but ended up wasting my time downloading anything and everything having it.

I get download speeds as a free user using megaupload at: 800kb to 1.3MB a second.

And it's soo bad, lol j/k

P.S. everyone has there opinions..but truth speaks words...lol

I hate using anything else Rapidshare all the way, pay the money have the premium account it's well worth the outlay, I get 2.1mb/s dl most of the time and can download upto 5 files at a time, obviously these are about 500kb/s each. The other sites suck and yes I have tried Megaupload and Megashares, they are slower and more expensive/ Uploading.com is awful and should be banned

I have an RS premium account and i'm happy with it, i can still find everything i want but it might take a few minutes extra to find the links. I have no choice but to look for RS links since i'm on shared ip network so i can rarely download as a free user.

Problem is hereward has made a very relevent point, P2P is been clamped down on and Rapidshare been the leader in freely avalible warez links (Most likely) has come under fire from the anticopyright lot leading to some German users getting caught for uploading. Rapidshare might have gotten to big for it's own good, a branch out may lead to another lot becoming the market leader and the ones that pay users to upload or have their files downloaded have seen this, hotfile been a prime example.

if you dont have a premium account with megaupload u can only get 250 MB then u gotta wait god knows how long. with thier premium service I still get capped at like 800 kb/sec instead of my usual 1.4 MBps with rapidshare.

^for megaupload, you only gotta wait bout 5 minutes and then you can download 3-5 files again.

Megaupload has no free user size limits, the one that has the 250mb is Megashares.
Best avoid that one since f-all can be downloaded.
