about RS and abuse

ok lets say
i have account
on RS and then i have FILES A B C
then the questions are:

is it possible for RS to banned my files to be downloaded?
because i ever click some links which is FORBIDDEN TO SHARE

is it mean that the file is still could be downloaded
but just only for that user only...
and not to be shared? is it like that?

so it's not deleted huh?
well...

how come someone report it to RS
that my FILES A B C
are the files which is not good to be shared for?

how could someone give any evidence about it?
just by sending email to RS? to support of RS? :(

Basically the links are reported to RS by whoever and then are deleted from the server and then you get the message of FILE FORBIDDEN TO BE SHARED (or whatever) hope this clears things up a bit for you.

name your files something else even something so stupid that even members aren't sure, when i do this i have had files sitting on rapid for 12months and more

Exactly. I never name my files to make it obvious what they are. They are close enough though. Like if i upload Adobe Photoshop CS3 i might name it AP-c3.rar or something, so the user can figure out that i just abbreviated the filename.

RapidShare is generally very good with file complaints. If they receive complaints, they will just delete the file and pretend it never happened. They won't ban or otherwise punish you over it.

they say in there disclamer they will delete any copywrited files and dont host files for warez sites (yeah right). Gismo and Chas are right about changing the names and it also helps to encrypt the file name when you rar it

with some of the code file name only huh?
