Getting bogged down isnt the problem mate. I use NIS2008 Genuine on my 2GB lappy.. works fine.. I know ppl dont use 2GB ram but then also once its Live Updated, it will stop working.
To the poster: get the links up. ill definetely test it.

All Norton shit is resource hog...IMO... the only place I use it is on my server/nerwork; cause it runs in the background and the client PC's never know it's there!
You didn't actually say if you cracked it yourself or not... but if you did... N/J :D

You should try the ESET security suite, It's the coolest one ever. NIS is a shit, bogging aint a problem for many, the fact is that NIS wont catch some KABOOOOM;) type virs and malwares. I know ppl dont use 2GB ram I've seen many people having 4GIGs of RAM:P

I' going to agree with anyone saying Norton isn't great and is a resource hog. Used it for years. Then I learned a bit more about computers and software and now I try to get everyone that has Norton to pick something else. I use iolo firewall, antivirus, and system mechanic. I also use Windows Defender and Spybot-Search and Destroy. I won't lie, I think iolo lacks features and when my subscription runs out I'll try something different. It has done a fairly good job of keeping my machine clean though. What it misses I take out manually.
