Which video format consumes least space if quality is not a matter and if the quality is a bit concerned?

wmv is pretty small but video quality usually sucks big time ..... a good average for space and quality i would have to bet on Avi. Wich is pretty much the big standard these days.

You mean DivX/Xvid. That's what I recommend too.
Also x264 has been doing extremely well on tests lately, check it out too. I recommend visiting a place like the doom9 forums. That's where you'll get the best answer.
Good luck!

i just downloaded 17 gigs of initial d. the format they used for most of them is .ogm i have no idea what ogm files are, but it sounds like ogg vorbis movie files. the picture quality seems to be better than divx or wmv. this would make sense because in reality .ogg files sound better than .mp3 and are smaller. so i would say that .ogm are smaller and better than divx or wmv.
if you ever heard of smr files, they are smaller than the rest.
