I know the most recognized MP3 players are the Ipod and the zune.
Personaly i hate the zune.
Ipod are Ok but i dont really like the price.
I just found out about the Creative ZEN X-Fi2 (http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=214&product=18965) and it is cheaper then the ipod nano chromatic, And the Zen has a full 3" LCD Touchscreen
but the X-Fi2 isnt out yet
What's your opinion on the best MP3 player

In terms of quality i would have to say Sony. I had an old sony, which I replaced with and ipod touch and found that the audio quality on the sony was a lot better than the ipod. Although the ipod has other cool features like apps etc, the sony was better as an mp3 player

yeah NK i agree with you 100% the Ipod has alot of cool features but. Then again, when am i gonna ever buy a Itunes card, i dont buy most of my music because its not on itunes. After my ipod breaks im gonna replace it with a X-Fi2

the new zune (HD) is actually pretty good with an OLED screen, but my instincts would still be with the ipod
mp3s are pretty much outdated these days (apart from you only want to listen to music)

I found that the Ipod has the usual Apple hardware problems and didn't last very long before problems started however I bought a Creative Labs Jukebox a few years ago which was great; a little bulky but still much smaller than the old cd players. I have since upgraded to the Creative Labs Zen which I like but think the old Jukebox is slightly better.
I think the real big issue with mp3 players is the quality of the headphones that you use. Apple headphones are rubbish; I have tried several diferent types and have ended up with Sony Sony MDR-ED21LP Groove Shaped Earpiece as shown at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDR-ED21LP-Groove-Earpiece-headphones/dp/B00009NK3L/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1255604349&sr=1-2
These really keep noise out and in, if you get my drift.
