I guess it depends on what you mean by "Secret Society"

I understand your point about the Bilderburgs and such...

But there's also other "Secret" and semi-"Secret" societies that would like to change our world into whatever utopian vision it is that they happen to be pushing this millenium.

Apart from that i think the only secret societies we have to worry about are the truelly secret ones . THE ONES NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT .

I recognized most of what you mentioned from movies.
I think the knights templar are dead, some movies say they are the predecessors of the freemasons.
The Jesuits are a catholic congregation known as the Society of Jesus, I think in the Catholic Church, their mystique is overshadowed by the Opus Dei - the group mentioned in Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code.

I heard of the illuminati coz they are the bad guys fought by two of favorite kick-ass heroines - lara croft in tomb raider and sydney bristow in alias
