Looking for suggestions:
Here's what I use:
Use this with firefox or internet explorer:
Install this first:
Flashgot: http://flashgot.net/?ver=0.9&prev=0.8.8
Then install this:
Orbit: http://www.orbitdownloader.com/index.htm
Little annoying to configure, but once you do it works same as flashget.
Read the help sections in orbit's forum on how to set it up properly.

you can download more than 3 at once with flash get as well.. and if you hack the registry you can download as many as you want at a time...just in case your using flashget and didn't know.

Try IDM (Internet Download Manager)
IDM is the best. I have never even heard of flashget,

Just yesterday, I got rid of FlashGet and tried out Internet Download Manager.
After struggling to get it configured to integrate with Firefox, I went back to FlashGet. Mind you, I got rid of FlashGot too, which I shouldn't have done.
FlashGet has this "drop zone" which shows you the download progress, which IDM didn't seem to have.

I use Get Right it is a great program if the d/n load stops it will re-connect and finish and not drop out. It shows the progress of the d/n load as well it has been around alot longer than FlashGet so you might want to look into it.

Okay, I think Orbit is better now(use it with flashgot). I can download/upload up to 50 links at the same time. Nice.

If flashgot was hacked and you can get a virus you are better off going with Orbit if it is more safe. Do a Google search to make sure then you know there will be no problems. Good Luck.

Hi Cuddles,
Flashgot is different then flashget. It doesn't have any virus's that i know of.
FlashGot gets your preferred download manager to work with Firefox! Which is Orbit, IDM, Get Right etc....
If you copy/paste a link from say rapidshare, then right click your mouse, you'll see download with orbit, download with IDM etc....it's pretty cool. Then just click on one and it automatically starts downloading all your links to specified folder.
