JDownloader Tutorial

The following tutorial will guide to download files using JDownloader - Please use it as mentioned

1 - Download this software here :

http://www.jdownloader.org/download

2 - Download dlc file for the movie selected (in which host is available)
ex: Sivaji.dlc

3 - Start jDownloader, for create some settings; click on "Edit Configuration" button:


4 - Then "Extractor"


where deselect (uncheck) all these settings selected (Enable automatic extraction, Delete extracted archived etc...), then click on "Save" button

5 - click on "Hosts" button:


then check (mark, select) on "Accepted" in your preferred host (ex: Code:rapidshare.com)

6 - in "Hosts Configuration"


select your preferred RS server (ex: Level 3), then click on "Premium Options"


where you put the username and password for your RS premium account, then "OK", then "Save"

7 - Click on File - Load Container:


and load the dlc file (ex: Sivaji.dlc), then "Accept all" or only the file you need, then select your destination folder in "Save to" location

8 - Click on green arrow button (Start/Stop downloads) in up left corner


9 - Set the number of parts downloaded simultaneous for one file (put 1 in this place, not good more then 1, because you may have broken file):


10 - Set the speed (ex: 350 Kb/s) and the number of files downloaded simultaneous (ex: 3):


11 - This program show to you if all the files is available or not, without downloading and without checking all the files one by one (ex: red line is unavailable, because hdd crash in NL):

Can you use Jdownloader on a Java mobile phone, please? How would you input the multilinks?

I'm something of a 24/7 downloader and know for sure the electricity bills should be a lot less. I've been googling a long time for an energy efficient downloading scheme such as using a spare java mobile.

If somebody here could try and see if this downloader can be used on Java mobile phones (the downloads can be taken from the mobile's WLAN and put in an 8 or 16GB micro SD card), that would save me a lot of electricity. I'm using a N*kia symbian 60 mobile.

If enough people use their Java mobiles for year-long downloading, our downloader can save a lot of megawatts for the planet.

This tutorial assumes a very old version of JDownloader. The instructions will work (if you have a DLC file), but the screens have all changed. The windows are all tabbed, with a settings tab that mostly works as above.

To use JDownloader on a list of URLs, select all of the URLs, Copy (Ctrl+C on Windows), and the URLs will be loaded into JDownloader. You can then proceed as described.

To use JDownloader on a link to a URL (contains ... ), right click (on Windows) and use the Copy Link Target (or Copy Shortcut on inferior browsers). This will copy the URL to JDownloader. Repeat for each link. In Firefox, you can look into the "Snap Link Plus" add-on to copy a group of URLs from links.

tripleplus: JDownloader works on any standard Java implementation (Java version 1.5 or later, as I write this, the current version is 16.0.16). You use your graphic point and click (your finger, a stylus, or arrow keys) instead of a mouse. Read your phone manual. On the JDownloader page, use the download for "Other" operating system.

There are other JDownloader tutorials on KatzForums, read at least one other tutorial before you get started.
