Cracking WEP64 and WEP128

I have seen that a lot of people want to crack wireless signal. Well here is one method I know. I give credit to the people who went through the trouble of creating this tool and the tutorial behind it. The method uses backtrack 3 final.
BackTrack is a Linux distribution distributed as a Live CD which resulted from the merger of WHAX and the Auditor Security Collection.[2] It takes advantage of SLAX's modular design and structure to enable the user to include customizable scripts, additional tools and configurable kernels in personalized distributions. The BackTrack project was created by Mati Aharoni and Max Moser and is a collaborative effort involving the community.
BackTrack focuses its central idea on the needs of computer penetration testers. The inclusion of Live CD and Live USB functionality enables any user to just insert their respective data medium and boot up BackTrack. Direct hard disk installations (2.7 GB uncompressed) can also be completed within the Live CD (700 MB compressed) environment through the basic graphical installation wizard with no restart subsequent to installation.

Suprisingly, despite backtrack being a powerful tool, it is a freeware and can be downloaded here.

Backtrack can also be used for a lot other stuff but I have just restricted the post to WEP cracking.

lol cracking a wifi connection is the eases thing to be done when using backtrack..
But since almost none is using wep theses days, it is kinda hard to find a connection to crack.

In our country WEP is still widely used. By the way backtrack 4 pre final is available for download though I havent yet tried it. I would rather wait for final release.

wow thanks senritsu, I did not know of the automatic WEP program until you mentioned it. I googled it and found it. Its called SpoonWEP. Its there in backtrack 3 but not yet in backtrack 4 pre-final.
