Running Google Chrome OS From A USB Drive

> It is in the very early stages of development, so there is still a lot of stuff that doesn’t work. In fact, it may not work for you at all.
> You should also be made aware that this operating system is very simplistic by design, as it is intended for use on netbook computers. By definition, a netbook is a small and inexpensive laptop intended for very casual use such as web browsing and simple office tasks.

Requirements :
> a USB drive. Disk image is 2,988,442,112 bytes. So need at least a 4GB thumb drive.
> A computer that allows booting from a USB drive.
> A little bit of luck. Chromium OS may or may not work on your computer hardware.
> A computer with a network adapter.
> Download the necessary files to put Chromium OS onto your USB drive. Torrent link below.

Instructions :
1 Extract the contents of chromium_os_usb.zip somewhere
2 Launch Win32DiskImager.exe (Windows). If you get Error 8 when you launch, ignore it. It's looking for a floppy that isn't there. The project page for this nifty little program is here: https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer
3 Browse to the image file (should be in the same place as Win32DiskImager.exe) and select it.
4 Write the image to a USB drive. You will need a 4GB USB drive. Please be aware that when you write to the drive, IT WILL ERASE ALL CONTENTS.
5 Boot a machine with the USB drive. Your BIOS will need to allow booting from USB. F8 or F12 in many BIOSes will bring up a boot menu, where you can select the USB drive.
6 When the login screen comes up, login with "chronos" and "password" (no quotes).
7 Click the Chrome OS sphere in the upper left, and log in with your Google Account.
8 Enjoy the preview of Chromium OS!
